But I think the link to Antofagasta will be helpful instead of telling you everything I did in the downtown area yesterday. We really just had a tour of some cool stuff, and after walking all day we had a meeting (and thankfully it was in English, because I didn't have the energy to try and understand words about teaching) but the meeting was kind of a formality about what else we needed to start the camp! Thats right, soon these posts will be all about school...I might actually do something for once on this trip....
...but after all that thought of work, we decided it was important to vamos a la playa (go to the beach!) So as you can see after a long day of walking around getting farmers tans...the gringos went swimming! There were so many people at this beach, and I plan on returning frequently for "lesson planning" with everyone else.

The previous night we were invited over to Rosalinda's daughter's house for empanadas mariscos (which is a fried pastry that they cook with different meat or cheese inside...no Jerm its not a Chilean Hot Pocket...at least it didn't give me diarhea!) So, they planned on picking us up at 7 and when we didn't get back on the bus until 7:30 I started freaking out. Because I'm a 9 (for those of you who know...yeah...you know) I was hopi
The next morning we got over to our SCHOOL to setup our own classrooms for next week. Then there was quite a bit of planning all day. I would like to supplement my experience of afternoon lunch with a link to Doss' blog, where he made a great observation about our afternoon snack that can be found below the picture of him in his classroom! This is also a good link for more pictures and I might direct you here every once in a while. Alright, was that enough for pictures and stories...I thought so. Last picture...hope you're enjoying your snow and cold weather...cause I have a sunburn! HAHAHA!

Oh Burns...how you bring up such fond family memories!
